Overview: As they do every day, two boys play among the headstones of a cemetery. They fill a canteen from a faucet. One boy, already suffering health problems, contracts a fatal illness. Investigators find the illness is caused by toxic water in the canteen. Using all the technology now available including aerial imaging EPA and FBI agents track the toxic contamination upstream to another "burial ground" - an illegal dump heaped with rotting drums of hazardous wastes. The barrels are traced to the company that generated them. The legitimate firm had no idea where an illegitimate waste hauler was burying wastes, but the corporation must accept legal responsibility for water and soil polluted by wastes it generated. The case ends in disaster for individuals, communities, families and the company.
